The Give & Grow Community Development Organization (GAGCDO) works with communities to advocate for and protect human rights, save and improve the lives of the most vulnerable, poorest, and marginalized families affected by poverty and/or crisis, and empower women and children to reach their full potential.
Driven by our mission to reach the furthest left behind to defeat poverty and ensure equal opportunities, GAGCDO focuses on empowering women and girls, recognizing that gender equality is critical for lasting change. The organization places women and girls at the center of our work, ensuring that they can access their rights, participate in decision-making, and benefit from economic opportunities.

Grew into food security, gender inclusion, climate resilience, and health services, strengthening communities through partnerships and grassroots efforts.
The communities in Northern Kenya and the Mandera Tri-border region face deep-rooted challenges, including inter-clan conflicts, resource scarcity, violent extremism, and the adverse effects of climate change. Limited access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities further exacerbates these issues, especially for women and youth. GAGCDO is committed to addressing these challenges through sustainable solutions that promote peace, resilience, and empowerment.
Recurring conflicts fueled by competition over grazing land, water, and political marginalization threaten the region’s stability. The cross-border nature of disputes further complicates efforts to achieve lasting peace.
Communities rely heavily on pastoralism and cross-border trade, but climate change, low literacy levels, and outdated farming practices hinder economic growth. Women and youth face limited job opportunities, further deepening poverty levels.
Limited access to clean water, sanitation, and reproductive healthcare leaves many vulnerable, especially young women. Issues like early marriages, gender-based violence, and female genital mutilation remain prevalent, demanding urgent action.
